Why a Hand Wash Beats the Tunnel
Express tunnel washes are fast, but they are hard on paint. A tunnel wash drags the same brushes over car after car, and those brushes hold dirt and grit picked up from other vehicles. That grit is then rubbed across your paint, which is how fine scratches and swirl marks happen.
A hand wash is different. We wash with clean mitts and fresh water, work panel by panel, and dry by hand, so dirt is lifted away instead of ground into the finish. That makes a hand wash the safer choice for paint, especially for dark colors, newer paint, and vehicles you want to keep looking their best.
- Paint safety: No spinning brushes and no tunnel machinery touching your paint.
- Fewer swirl marks: Hand washing avoids the dirty-brush contact that causes fine circular scratches.
- A closer clean: We can reach the spots machines miss, including wheels, door jambs, and trim.
